I promised that I would go in depth more about my unfortunate coping mechanism. My brain and body has got a dreadful habit of this “freeze response” when dangerous or traumatic experiences are occurring. My PTSD kicks in and it’s like an out of body experience. I have tried to work on changing my response but it takes a lot of time, practice and… for me.. failure! Here are some good reads about the topic!
